Residential Property Lawyer – Basildon Office

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and dynamic residential property lawyer seeking a long-term career within a busy, CQS accredited residential property department.

You will manage your own caseload and must have a strong technical knowledge in freehold, leasehold, shared ownership and new build transactions as well as the ability to work in a high volume, face-paced environment.

You will be expected to build an excellent rapport with existing clients and agents and possess the skills to attract new clients and build new contacts.

This is a permanent, full-time role providing the opportunity to undertake the full mix of residential matters and the opportunity to work alongside our associate solicitor.

Commercial Litigation Lawyer – Basildon office

This is a great opportunity for a commercial litigation lawyer  to join our established team and  play a fundamental role in the continuing growth and success of this department.

The successful candidate will have strong litigation experience focusing on property litigation as well as a broad range of litigation disputes, which might include shareholder and director disputes, debt recovery work, contractual disputes and insolvency litigation.

You will be able to build excellent client relationships, looking after existing clients and growing your own client base.

You will be expected to work with minimal supervision and be able to address matters efficiently whilst assisting the director on more complex cases.

Contentious Probate Lawyer – Basildon office

This is a great opportunity for a contentious probate lawyer to join our growing business and play a fundamental role in the continuing development of this work type.

Company Commercial Lawyer – Basildon office

As well as working with an experienced associate solicitor within the department assisting with his caseload, you will also manage your own varied caseload of clients.

Legal Support – Family Department – South Woodham Ferrers Office 

This is a full-time, office based role working 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

(We will consider candidates seeking part-time hours but they must be able to work 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced family law secretary/support to join our successful family team based in South Woodham Ferrers.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Process secretarial support work (including transcription) on behalf of the family law executive.
  • Possess an excellent telephone manner and the skills to confidently and calmly deal with sensitive telephone conversations.
  • Undertake administrative tasks, including reception cover as and when required.
  • Ensure that client files are organised and maintained.
  • Effectively prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Be fully conversant with standard forms.
  • Provide typing and administrative support, when workload permits, to other departments.

It is essential that applicants have excellent client care and inter-personal skills, the ability to work efficiently and accurately together with good software skills including a sound knowledge of electronic legal forms.
