We’re looking for a qualified Solicitor with litigation experience, ideally with some experience in property disputes, strong organisational and communication skills, and proficiency in using relevant technological systems.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and talented individual to join our team, focusing on non-contentious Wills, Probate and Trusts. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day care and conduct of client files, ensuring that all files and papers comply with the requirements of the Law Society, the SRA, and our Practice’s management systems. You will provide expert advice to clients on their specific matters, conducting thorough research, preparing documents, and corresponding in accordance with clients’ instructions.

Experienced Family Law Legal Secretary /Assistant
Location: Chelmsford Office
Hours: 9am to 5.30pm – Monday to Friday

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant who will undertake a varied mix of both secretarial and legal tasks. This role will primarily support the Family Law department.
Duties will include traditional secretarial responsibilities such as transcription work, taking client calls, managing diaries, and file management, as well as assisting with a range of legal tasks including preparing court bundles, court portal management, billing, and other documents as required. You will be expected to time record.
Candidates must demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude, excellent and accurate typing skills, and strong organisational abilities and a willingness and desire to be part of a thriving team and to support the fee earner in her role. Experienced Conveyancing Solicitor/Licensed Conveyancer
We are seeking an experienced solicitor, legal executive or licensed conveyancer to join our Chelmsford office with property expertise and a passion for client development, who can contribute to the expansion and success of the Chelmsford office whilst working closely with local agents and other professionals. The successful candidate will be motivated to build strong relationships, collaborate within a supportive team, work in a modern office with access to the latest legal technology and contribute to the growth of our residential property practice. Key Responsibilities
- Building upon a new workload at our new Chelmsford office.
- Day to day management of a caseload to a high standard.
- Advising clients on residential property matters, providing clear and practical guidance.
- Working collaboratively with agents and professionals to develop new business opportunities.
- Maintaining high professional standards in all legal reporting and documentation.
- Supporting compliance with regulatory requirements, including SRA and CQS standards.
- Assisting with internal audits and upholding best practices within the team.
- Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues, fostering a positive working environment.
- Where appropriate, working in a team format with our remote solicitors.
- Ensuring confidentiality and data security in all client interactions and legal processes.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and managers, keeping them informed of progress and issues.
Requirements
- Ideally, at least 5 years’ post qualification PQE with proven experience in residential property.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of data security and confidentiality protocols.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and legal technology adoption.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build effective relationships.
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks, including SRA and CQS.
