Makayla Phillips is a solicitor in the Commercial Litigation department, based at our Basildon office. Her work includes insolvency matters, negligence and professional negligence, breach of contract, construction disputes, landlord and tenant matters and enforcement of judgements.
Before joining Palmers in December 2016, Makayla trained at another Essex-based law firm where she focussed on civil and commercial litigation and insolvency law.
Prior to this, she worked at the Financial Ombudsman Service as an Adjudicator in the PPI department and was responsible for adjudicating disputes between businesses and customers in relation to whether they had been mis-sold PPI.
Makayla graduated with an LLB Law degree from Middlesex University completed her Legal Practice Course, for which she was awarded a distinction, at BPP Law School and qualified as a solicitor in September 2016.
Makayla is also able to provide assistance under the Commercial Debt Recovery Scheme.
