We’re open for business

News Article

At Palmers, we remain open for business and prepared to meet our clients’ needs during this exceptionally challenging time.

Many legal services have been declared Essential Services by the Ministry of Justice.

The Government has directed that anyone who can work from home should do so.  Since we have very well established agile and remote working capabilities in place, we have asked the majority of our staff to move to home working in order to play our part.  Staff are attending our offices only where it is absolutely necessary for them to do so in order to fulfil an essential requirement.  They are contactable by telephone and by email in the usual way.

Though our offices are closed to the public and are not generally open for face-to-face appointments, we are able to continue to meet your need for legal advice and support.

We are able to provide remote meetings, by telephone or video conferencing.  We may also be able to provide face to face meetings in critically urgent circumstances.  These meetings can be facilitated where the services are essential and only where we are confident that all meeting participants are protected and that social distancing methods can be properly observed and confidentiality protected.

We will continue to issue regular legal updates and news via the new Coronavirus Portal on our website as well as through our social media platforms and emails.

We are well prepared to continue to provide our legal services as the situation develops to ensure that your needs are met.

We are taking steps to avoid disruption to services requiring an exchange of hard copy documentation.  However, as the situation continues to evolve it may be inevitable that certain services will need to be interrupted until access to the office can be permitted and the ability to use postal services resumed.

We are happy to confirm that you can make contact in the usual way, by telephone or email, directly to the solicitor dealing with the matter or another member of their team.  If you are a new client, please call reception and you will be redirected appropriately.

By working together during this crisis, we can help to protect our communities and hopefully soon look forward to a brighter future.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries.

We want to protect you and our staff from the spread of coronavirus.

We would kindly request, where possible, that you contact us by telephone or email in preference to attending personally at our offices.

If you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with anyone who is unwell, please do not visit our offices.

Where possible, please send correspondence and documentation to us electronically so that we are able to progress matters remotely if necessary. Thank you for your co-operation.
