Residents have learned some helpful money saving tips from a wide range of organisations at an event in Basildon, which we sponsored
Money saving specialists from organisations including the Citizens Advice Bureau, JobCentre Plus and Basildon Council came together to share their expertise at the town’s Money Matters event held at the Basildon Centre.
This useful series of drop-in sessions assisted residents to find out how they can save money on their gas and electricity bills, while also getting some helpful legal advice on wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and later life-related matters from the wills and probate team at Palmers.
Help was available for residents struggling to understand Universal Credit and experts also gave top tips on how to avoid being the victim of a scam.
Speaking about the firm’s sponsorship of the event, Lee McClellan, a Partner at Palmers, said: “We were delighted to support the Money Matters event in Basildon. It was very well attended and our team were able to speak with a number of residents who were seeking guidance about their affairs.
“I would like to thank Citizens Advice Basildon Borough and the council for inviting us to sponsor and join them at this fantastic event.”
