Palmers Solicitors, which has offices in Basildon, Thurrock and South Woodham Ferrers, is calling on those writing a will to remember a charity, as part of a national campaign to increase charitable legacies.
Working in partnership with Remember A Charity – a consortium of more than 170 charities – Palmers will be instructing clients using their will services to consider leaving part of their legacy to a cause close to their heart.
Remember A Charity in your Will Week will run from 12 – 18 September 2016, during which time Palmers will be helping clients with advice and support.
Lee McClellan, a Partner at Palmers, said: “It is easy to overlook charities when making a will, but a charitable legacy can make a massive difference and is often a nice way to remember a cause after your death.
“At Palmers we are proud to support this cause and we will be offering additional advice to clients who are looking to give to charity as part of the normal services we provide.”
Many good causes in the UK rely on charitable legacies as part of their fundraising and they are often vital in continuing their work, added Lee.
