Staff at a leading Essex-based law firm have been getting into the festive spirit by holding a Christmas Jumper Day for charity.
Members of the team at Palmers Solicitors, which has offices in Basildon, Thurrock and South Woodham Ferrers, wore Christmas jumpers to work on Friday 16 December 2016, each making a donation to St Luke’s Hospice in Basildon in order to do so.
A total of £314.35 was raised by staff at the firm through the donations as well as a raffle and a competition to win prizes.
Gina Newman, Palmers’ practice manager, said: “I am delighted that our staff’s generosity has meant that we have been able to raise this sum and that the festive spirit has been brought into our offices for such a worthy cause.
“St Luke’s Hospice’s work in our local community is invaluable and so we were keen to donate the proceeds to support this work in the future.”
