Palmers bridge the business generation gap

Palmers solicitors recently teamed up with fellow Essex-based accountants Rickard Keen to hold two informative business events for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Called the ‘Business Generation Gap’, the two seminars at Basildon Lower Academy and The Lawn in Rochford on 25 September focused on how businesses can adapt to cope with different needs, values and visions of each generation; whether dealing with their customers, suppliers, staff or even with family members taking over a cherished family business.

Speaking at the event was dynamic and much sought-after guest speaker Dr. Graeme Codrington who is an expert on the future world of work and the disruptive forces that are shaping it.

At the event, Graeme delivered his award-winning and entertaining presentation ‘Mind the Business Gap’, which focused on how different generations can better understand and influence each other.

BJ Chong, partner at Palmers, said: “We were delighted to welcome business owners to our two SME business events. Guests were treated to an insightful and thought-provoking presentation by Graeme Codrington which was packed with practical ideas relevant to businesses whose customer base and staff cross the generations. We hope that the event proved useful for business owners looking to engage with the next generation of customers.”
