Palmers brings Christmas cheer and helps raise money for local charities

The team at Palmers have been getting into the Christmas spirit by raising money for two deserving local charities.

Colleagues from our Rayleigh office pitched in and lent a hand recently by hosting a fundraising stall as part of the town’s Christmas Market, which coincided with the switch-on of Rayleigh’s Christmas Lights.

The firm organised a number of competitions and games of skill on the stall to raise funds for the Polly Parrot Appeal, a charity that helps support the children’s wards at Basildon and Thurrock Hospitals.

Meanwhile, in Basildon, our firm joined forces with accountancy firm, Rickard Luckin, to help stage an annual Carol Concert at St Martin of Tours Church on 14 December.

Proceeds from a collection taken on the evening also supported the Polly Parrot Appeal, as well as the Essex Community Foundation.

Lee McClellan, a Partner at Palmers Solicitors, said: “Engaging with and supporting our local community across South Essex is very important to us as a firm.

“We were delighted earlier this year when we announced the Polly Parrot Appeal as our Charity of the Year and it is wonderful that both the collection at the concert and the money raised during the Rayleigh Christmas Market will support vital work on behalf of young patients in Basildon and Thurrock, as well as local members of the Essex community who find themselves in need of support.”
