Palmers offers a Family Mediation service to help separating/divorcing couples to reach negotiated and fair agreements with a view to preserving stability for family and children at a very difficult time.
A mediator is trained to deal with challenging issues and to apply problem solving skills to resolve disagreements between parties. Family mediation is particularly sensitive and requires skill and understanding about family matters.
What does a mediator do?
A mediator acts as a third party in your discussions with your partner and helps to identify important issues and to gather information. Thereafter the mediator will identify choices open to you.
Mediation is especially helpful where you are frustrated or angry at the current breakdown in communications with your partner, where the issues have been left too long and no resolution is in sight. Conflict is very consuming both of energy and valuable time. You may be worried about escalating costs if an agreement is not reached soon and/or fear involvement in court proceedings.
This is the time to contact a mediator to help negotiate with you and your partner with a view to reaching acceptable decisions.
Whilst the service is available at each of our three offices please contact Patricia Muzalewski at our Basildon office in the first instance.
We can also help with Civil and Commercial Mediation.
