Ascension Financial Management
Ascension Financial Management (AFM) was formed in 2008 in order to help Palmers’ clients who require financial planning advice.
Much of the legal work undertaken by Palmers will have a resulting effect on clients’ finances and create the need for advice. At the time of creating AFM the partners in Palmers were conscious that many of their clients were either not receiving the advice they required or were being poorly served by other financial advisers.
After considering the various options available to them in meeting their clients’ needs, the partners in Palmers decided that a joint venture with a firm of independent financial advisers was the most suitable approach.
After further consideration Ashcourt Rowan, a national firm of independent financial advisers, were chosen as the firm with whom the joint venture would be established.
Ashcourt Rowan PLC employ over 100 financial advisers nationally as well as around 20 asset managers. In 2010, Ashcourt Rowan PLC were ranked 20 in the UK on the Financial Adviser Top 100 company list.
Whilst AFM is owned by the partners in Palmers, the relationship with Ascourt Rowan means that AFM are able to borrow upon extensive back-office research and knowledge.
