Deborah has a law degree and was trained in all aspects of civil litigation with a practice in Surrey. She has specialised in Employment Law since her admission in 2005.
Deborah is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and has experience in assisting both employers and employees in a range of matters including disciplinary, grievance and redundancy consultation procedures. Defending and pursuing unfair dismissal and discrimination claims in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal. Deborah has vast experience of settling matters through negotiation which conserves costs and avoid exposure to litigation risks.
Deborah assisted a client to obtain the highest award made by an English Employment Tribunal in a dual discrimination claim (Race & Sexual Orientation).
Deborah can also provide assistance in non contentious matters such as advising on employment in the regulated sector, preparing of contracts of employments, staff handbooks and compromise agreements. Deborah is now providing representation at Employment Tribunal Hearings.
Deborah enjoys keeping fit, dancing, visiting the theatre and places of historical interest.
