Local Christmas Carol Concert sees St Martin's Church packed to the rafters with £1235.88 raised for Charity!

Our annual carol concert, organised in conjunction with local accountants Rickard Keen LLP was held at St Martin’s Church in Basildon on Tuesday 13th December.

Over 250 people attended the event and through the combination of sponsorship and donations, £1235.88 was raised for St Luke’s Hospice (Basildon) and The Burned Children’s Club.

The Southend Band and the Southend Young Singers played and sang traditional carols and Christmas music and some poetry added to the entertainment!

Full audience participation, hot mince pies and mulled wine proved to be the perfect ingredients for an entertaining evening and a great festive spirit!

Chris Mowat, Partner at Palmers Solicitors stated “We were delighted with the support from so many people who attended the event and very pleased to have exceeded the amount we raised last year!”
