Jack joined Palmers in October 2015 and is based at our Basildon office where he works in the Construction and Engineering team with Adam Davis.
Jack read philosophy and economics at Bristol University and, after a period of travelling, went on to complete the GDL at the Bristol Law School and the LPC part-time whilst working for a large Bristol based insurance litigation practice. Jack then completed his training contract at a commercial firm in Exeter before relocating and joining the firm.
Whilst working in Bristol, Jack specialised in professional negligence work with a focus on claims against solicitors, building and quantity surveyors, architects and financial advisors and went on to gain experience in handling disputes in foreign jurisdictions during his training contract.
Jack aims to combine technical ability and business acumen to achieve the most cost effective outcome for his clients and deals with construction law including, amongst other things:
- County Court, High Court and Technology and Construction Court claims
- Advice in relation to standard form and bespoke construction contracts
- Applications for payment
- Advice on variations to work under construction contracts
- Recovery of unpaid invoices
