Essex-based solicitors Palmers is proud to announce that one of its solicitors has taken the first step towards obtaining the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Diploma in Trusts and Estates.
By passing the Administration of Estates module, Jonathan Saunders is on his way to holding an industry standard diploma that develops a practical understanding of the law and procedures involved in trust and estate administration, tax and accounting.
The Diploma comprises four papers:
- Administration of Estates
- Administration of Trusts
- Taxation of Trusts and Estates
- Trust and Estate Accounting
Completion of the programme provides a recognised professional qualification for those already working within the trusts and estates field and Jonathan is due to complete the second module in May.
Basildon-based Jonathan completed his LLB Honours degree at the University of Kent before undertaking the Legal Practice Course on a part-time basis at the College of Law in Bloomsbury, London. Jonathan qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and joined Palmers in the same year.
Partner Lee McClellan commented: “We’re all very proud of Jonathan. His hard work and dedication is clear to see and now that he has passed the first stage, we have every confidence that even more success will follow.”
