A leading Essex-based law firm is expanding with the appointment of two new solicitors.
Palmers Solicitors, which has offices in Basildon, Thurrock and South Woodham Ferrers, has taken on solicitors Kate Middleton and Makayla Phillips in recent weeks to support the expansion of the firm.
Kate Middleton is a solicitor in the firm’s Private Client department, based at its Thurrock office. She is experienced in dealing with matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work, administration of estates and Grants of Probate.
Makayla Phillips is a solicitor in the firm’s Commercial Litigation department, based at its Basildon office. She will be undertaking work in insolvency matters, negligence and professional negligence, breach of contract, construction disputes, landlord and tenant matters and enforcement of judgements.
Kate Middleton said: “I’m delighted to be joining an award-winning firm in Palmers. This is an exciting place to work and I’m looking forward to making a difference for our clients.”
Makayla Phillips said: “Palmers has been recognised for its excellent client service. This is something that I am very much looking forward to being part of.”
Carey Jacobs, a partner at Palmers, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Kate and Makayla to Palmers in moves which underline our ambition for 2016 and 2017 as a period of significant expansion for our practice overall and for our specialist teams.”
