Palmers takes on triathlon for charity

Three of Palmers Solicitors’ team are demonstrating their athletic prowess by entering a triathlon event to raise funds for a south-east Essex charity.

Matt Johnson, BJ Chong and Jonathan Saunders are competing in FRP Advisory’s Charity Team Triathlon event, with all donations received going to Little Havens Hospice. This charity provides respite breaks, symptom control and end-of-life care to youngsters that are not expected to reach adulthood due to a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.

The event, which takes place on 9 July at Gosfield Lake Resort, near Halstead, will start at midday with a 400m open water swim undertaken by Matt. BJ will then channel his inner Bradley Wiggins in a 20km time trial bicycle race before handing the baton to Jonathan who will round off events with a 5km sprint.

BJ Chong, Partner at Palmers Solicitors said: “We’re all really excited about taking on this challenge, and with over 150 participants expected on the day, there will certainly be some competition. Little Havens Hospice is a very worthwhile charity and we hope to raise as much money for them as possible to enable them to continue making a fundamental difference to the children and families that require their services.”
