Carey in contention for prestigious award

News Article

We are delighted that one of our Partners, Carey Jacobs, has been shortlisted for a prestigious award which celebrates excellence in standards of customer service.

Carey’s shortlisting for the Client Choice Awards 2018 is particularly special because, as the award title suggests, her shortlisting follows a nomination by one of her clients.

The awards are organised by the International Law Office and Lexology, and “recognise those law firm partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service”.

Client Choice goes on to say that “the criteria for this recognition focuses on an ability to add real value to clients’ business above and beyond the other players in the market”.

Carey, who is based at our Basildon office, specialises in Commercial Property and heads our Property Department, where she deals with matters of particular complexity and time-sensitive legal matters relating to the education, logistics and industrial sectors.

Carey said: “I am delighted to have received this recognition and very grateful that a client should have taken the time to nominate me for this award.  I was taken aback when I received confirmation of the shortlisting, particularly since I had no idea that I was even being nominated.

“It turns out that all nominations for the awards are treated as having been made anonymously and you never find out about the nomination unless you are shortlisted.  Happily, I have managed to find out who nominated me so have been able to say “thank you”.

“Here at Palmers we place a great deal of emphasis on the client service we provide.  It is absolutely fundamental to our business, which makes this shortlisting all the more significant.”
