Local solicitors Palmers recently hosted a successful business networking event called SWIFT (South Woodham In Focus Team) at Marsh Farm.
Created to provide a regular forum for South Woodham businesses to network, SWIFT enables like-minded individuals to meet and create an active local business community.
The guest speaker of this inaugural event was James Sinclair – founder and Chief Executive of The Partyman Company; operators of the Marsh Farm venue as well as many other entertainment and children’s day care venues – who delivered a fascinating talk about his company.
This inspirational businessman, who started operating from his grandmother’s spare bedroom as a teenager and now manages an empire with a multi-million pound turnover, explained the Seventeen Rules of Business that he applies to running and building his businesses which are headquartered in South Woodham but extend to a growing number of locations around the South East.
Solicitor Charlotte Woolven-Brown said: “I have received positive feedback from attendees who enjoyed networking with other local businesses and commented that the format worked well. One attendee described it as one of the best networking events he had ever been to. There is a lot of demand for the event to happen again, which is great news for the local business community.”
In total, more than 40 people attended the first SWIFT event and the next meeting is due to take place in the summer.
